winter activities in ellenville

STOECKELER MEMORIAL PARK

As Ellenville dons it’s winter coat, so the village transforms into a winter wonderland, offering a number of fun winter activities.

Unique in Ulster County is tubing at our Stoeckeler Memorial Park on groomed runs and State-approved tubes.

There are two sessions a day, Saturdays, Sundays, and over the holidays. Should conditions allow there is also night tubing on Fridays.

Please check our Facebook page for notices on night tubing or any cancelations due to unfavorable weather conditions.

When you have finished your run, snowmobiles are on hand  to bring you back to the top. Almost as much fun as going down!

Morning sessions are from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, the afternoon sessions are from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

The fee is $10 per person per session, including tube rentals. Children five and under can tube for free accompanied by a paying adult.

You can sled/tube for free on the un-groomed section of the hill but you will need to bring your own sled or tube.

RESTAURANT SPOTLIGHT

COHEN’S BAKERY

Established in early 1920, Cohen’s remains one of our best known and loved Ellenville eateries. Famed for its raisin pumpernickel bread, it has recently been transformed from just a bakery to a full-service bakery and café, offering delicious meals, fresh-made bread, cakes, and pastries throughout the day.
