STOECKELER PARK & GOLF COURSE

Formerly known as The Shawangunk Country Club, the park has been renamed in memory of Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr. Joe, was a lifetime resident of the Town of Wawarsing, a consummate statesman, and a devoted public servant for most of his adult life. He worked tirelessly to make the village and surrounding areas ‘A better place for all’.

The park was renamed ‘The Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr. Memorial Park’ in honor of his memory and in acknowledgement of all his work on behalf of the Town of Wawarsing and the Village of Ellenville.

Currently, the village has embarked on a comprehensive redevelopment of the park to expand its attractions for our community and visitors all year round to now include winter activities, such as skating and tubing, along with our much-loved nine-hole golf course.

Located at the entrance to the park is the newly renovated Ellenville Country Club Grill. It offers some of the best food, and most definitely the best dining views in town!

The grill is temporarily closed until further notice in response to the current Covid-19 situation.
