The Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr. Memorial Park golf course is open seven days a week, offering 9-hole or 18-hole rounds in an idyllic setting with or without carts.

Formerly known as The Shawangunk Country Club, the park has been renamed in memory of Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr. Joe, was a lifetime resident of the Town of Wawarsing, a consummate statesman, and a devoted public servant for most of his adult life. He worked tirelessly to make the village and surrounding areas ‘A better place for all.’
The park was renamed ‘The Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr. Memorial Park’ in honor of his memory and in acknowledgment of all his work on behalf of the Town of Wawarsing and the Village of Ellenville. Ellenville has embarked on a comprehensive redevelopment of the park to expand its attractions for our community and visitors all year round. These now include winter activities such as skating and tubing, along with our much-loved nine-hole golf course.
Located at the park’s entrance is Tony & Nick’s At The Gunks, which offers some of the best food and, most definitely, the best views in town, both inside and outside from the deck.
